This study explores the linguoculturological interpretation of anthroponyms in English and Uzbek, focusing on the cultural and cognitive dimensions embedded in personal names. Using comparative analysis, the research examines how names reflect social values, historical context, religious beliefs, and cultural identity. Findings indicate that Uzbek anthroponyms carry highly transparent semantic and evaluative loads, often conveying moral and cultural codes, while English anthroponyms tend to retain historical or symbolic meanings with less direct evaluative function. This study contributes to the understanding of the interplay between language, culture, and personal naming, highlighting the role of anthroponyms as carriers of national identity and cultural knowledge.
