Résumé

This article examines the organizational foundations of commercial banking, with a particular focus on the banking system of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The paper analyzes the key functions of banks, including the accumulation of funds, lending, and settlement operations. It explores the historical development of commercial banking from its origins in Europe to modern reforms in Uzbekistan. Special attention is given to the analysis of the current state of Uzbekistan's banking sector, the structure of over 30 commercial banks, their establishment dates, and international partnerships are presented. The study investigates the legal framework, organizational principles, and the role of commercial banks in ensuring economic growth and the stability of the country's financial system. The conclusion emphasizes that the effective organization of commercial banking is a key factor for national economic development.
