STRENGTHENING THE POSITION OF WOMEN IN THE POLITICAL SPHERE DURING THE YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE

Abstract

This article analyzes the historical development of women’s participation in the political sphere of Uzbekistan from 1991 to 2021. The study examines the evolution of state policy, legal frameworks, and institutional mechanisms aimed at strengthening women’s political position. The process is explored through a periodized approach, highlighting key reforms and their impact on women’s representation in governance.
